Description of the AMC
The Australian Mathematics Competition was held in Bangladesh for the first time in Bangladesh 8 August 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Abdul Monem Business District. This is opposite the Sonargaon Hotel. See this map for the exact location.
The AMC is taken by nearly 150,000 students in Asia. Over 400,000 students take the exam world-wide. It is an invaluable way to demonstrate academic ability and valued by admissions departments in the USA, Australia and all over the world.
The exam consists of 25 multiple choice questions. The exam is aimed at average students. However, the questions get harder towards the end. Students who do well on the AMC are invited to take the 2nd level of the AMC later this year. Previous AMC question papers can be found here.

- Middle Primary — Class 3 & 4
- Upper Primary – Class 5 & 6
- Junior – Class 7 & 8
- Intermediate – Class 9 & 10
- Senior – Class 11 & 12
